How to play

How Buzzer plays

  1. 1

Start a show: Quick Host in one tap, or sign in to pick a saved quiz or have AI write one.

  2. 2

Put the stage on the big screen and share the code. Players and spectators join from their phones.

  3. 3

Run the rounds: everyone answers in Stream, or pick from the Board. Streaks, reveals and the scoreboard do the rest.

The rules in short

Buzzer is a hosted quiz: one person runs the show and everyone else answers from their own device. The host starts a show from a phone or a laptop, opens the stage view on a TV or projector, and shares a room code. Players join with the code from any browser; spectators join the same way to watch without playing. Two round formats exist: Stream, where every player answers each question at once, and Board, a Jeopardy-style grid of categories and values. Correct answers score points, consecutive correct answers build streak tiers, and the stage shows every reveal with show music. Quick Host runs without an account for up to 5 players, 5 spectators and 10 questions. A free host account raises that to 20 players, 50 spectators and 200 questions, and adds saved quizzes, question and answer pictures, CSV import and Board mode. Signed-in hosts can also have AI write a quiz from a topic or an uploaded lesson (PDF, Word, PowerPoint or text) and paint pictures for it; every AI question is shown for review before it joins the quiz.
